Our Renewal Programme is showcased in the new Volvo project.

Volvo’s car retail space in Kista underwent extensive renovation, and the decision to reuse the existing lighting system played a key role in shaping the project.

Project architects Wingårds and lighting designers Rejlers collaborated closely to ensure that the scope of work aligned with the reuse goals, partnering with Stockholm Lighting as the lighting products specialist.

The lighting concept aimed to retain most of the existing fixtures, modifying the luminaires by changing their configuration to separate direct alphaLED light sources.

By rethinking the lighting system and adhering to reuse policies, the project achieved significant energy savings, resulting in a reduction of approximately 23.8 tonnes of CO2e, based on a comparison with equivalent generic luminaires offering similar formats and light output.

Efficient LED Upgrade at Fatburen Office! Lightin

𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓🌱

Located in the heart of Södermalm, Stockholm, the Fatburen office building underwent a renovation with a focus on sustainability. This 48,000 m² multi-organisation business centre received an upgrade to improve lighting efficiency and warmth, with minimal labour and material costs 💡

Lighting designers Exengo Installationskonsult AB worked with Stockholm Lighting Company AB Lighting who decided to enhance the existing lighting system instead of a full replacement. The result? A 50% reduction in power consumption and improved light levels!
