LUSH Liverpool is the largest LUSH store in the world. Spread over four floors, this 1,380 sqm of retail space, featuring an entire floor dedicated to LUSH Spa, offers shoppers a unique shopping experience combined with the ultimate environment for R&R.
This new LUSH branch aims to be at the forefront of retail innovation. creating personal shopping experiences like never seen before on the high street. New services and experiences housed in the huge space include, a Hair Lab offering treatments and cutting services, a Florist selling locally sourced and seasonal bouquets, a Perfume Library offering exclusive Perfumes and of course LUSH’s renowned products all handmade fresh onsite.
The design included housing these features into the existing infrastructure of the store, taking on the brands ethical approach for revitalisation and sustainability. The style was to achieve a look inspired by the character of traditional departments stores, but to add the LUSH touch to it.
The lighting brief was developed over several months with the LUSH R&D team, and leading lighting designers, Michael Grubb Studio. As the store was aiming to be pioneering, the lighting had to reflect this too, whilst displaying the colour vibrancy of the beautifully eye-catching LUSH products.
Our Apto downlight fixtures were installed throughout the space, with high CRI and high output values, to allow for uniformity and colour consistency throughout the store. All the lighting for the LUSH Spa was set behind frosted glass domes, giving the space real ambience to match the treatments on offer and the aesthetics of the space.
The result is a brightly illuminated sophisticated store, that holds LUSH’s brand identity at its core. Products are illuminated to show their full colour. So far, the Liverpool based store has proven to be a truly unique shopping experience, and a real hit with shoppers alike.
