Technology
alphaLED exclusively uses Xicato lights sources in its products. At the centre of the chips are blue LEDs. A tailored phosphor-coated film is then selected to accurately tune the colour temperature.
This separated sapphire crystal glass remains at a very low operating temperature, which reduces lumen deprecation and colour shift throughout its life. Together with our no-compromise thermal management, no other LED technology can match the overall quality and performance of the alphaLED/ Xicato partnership.
Lumen Maintenance
The unique corrective cold phosphor technology has cooler operating temperatures. This means the aging process of the phosphor is slowed.
We guarantee no noticeable colour shift and a maximum of 15% lumen loss across the installation after 10 years on all XTM based products. No other LED light source can match this.
Sustained Performance
Xicato modules are individually measured and tuned before they are shipped. All Xicato modules are manufactured to a very tight tolerance for white light, an area that measures 1 by 2 SDCM. Most of the industry defines tolerance as within a 3-step area.
Colour Rendering
The remote phosphor is independently tuned for each module to ensure perfect colour rendering across our range. Unlike other light sources Xicato evaluates all 15 reference samples for its 80CRI, 90CRI, 98CRI, Beauty, and Vibrancy 98 modules — providing a complete understanding of CRI with respect to quality of light.
In the case of the 98CRI modules, the results for the deep red R9 and other samples put these modules on par with halogen lamps.
Why XTM

XTM 80CRI
alphaLED’s XTM 80CRI products are designed to provide excellent, natural colour rendition with high efficiency. XTM Standard Series comes in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K CCT, and in flux packages from 700 to 5000 lumens, delivering typical CRI (Ra) of 82, and consistently high R values across all 15 CIE CRI samples.
XTM 90CRI
alphaLED’s XTM 90CRI products provide an optimal balance between accurate, natural colour rendition, lumen output and efficacy. 90CRI comes in various combinations of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K CCT, and lumen packages from 500LM to 4000LM. All deliver minimum CRI Ra of 91 and R9 of 55, TM-30 Rf of 91 and Rg of 101, and a consistent white point.
XTM 98CRI
alphaLED’s XTM 98CRI products are designed to provide the most accurate, natural colour rendition possible, over the entire visual spectrum. 98CRI comes in 2200k, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, 5600K CCT and in flux packages from 500 to 4000 lumens, delivering typical CRI (Ra) of 98, with typical R9 of 94, and extremely high R values across all 15 CIE CRI samples.
