Situated in the fairy tale old town centre is MASH Odense, located in the old brewery. MASH is a small chain of renowned Nordic steak restaurants. Every restaurant has its own personality, making them all worth a visit. When the Odense branch opened, Retail Reflections ApS selected our fixtures to illuminate it.
To ensure the new branch matched the décor and theme of the other restaurants, the lighting was to be used to create the atmosphere as if you were eating by candlelight. Our fixtures were specified to create a cosy and atmospheric ambience, as reflected in all 10 stores.
To create relaxing setting, the luminaire of choice was our Apto fixture. The fixtures were selected in 2700K, but had the ability to dim to 0%, with full control over the fittings. Like our entire alphaLED range, Apto features Xicato light engines with high CRI values. This helped to create the perfect “Nordic” warm environment.
MASH stipulated that all the lighting in the restaurant should be easy and simple to control via a lighting control system. This was to ensure that anyone could easily create the desired atmosphere in the restaurant at any time. Our Apto fixtures are Dali compatible, so Retail Reflexions ApS selected the very simple and easily programmable LUTRON® Dali control Grafik Eye QS.
Restaurant Manager Mirek Nørkjær and the staff at MASH in Odense quickly became familiar with the simple operation and programming of the Grafik Eye control, giving MASH a completely integrated solution that could control all the light in the restaurant easily.
The overall design of the new MASH restaurants creates an almost New York-style atmosphere in the historic buildings in Odense.
