Working in collaboration with lighting design firm WINK, we illuminated flexible office working space Making It Work.
Based in Dublin, the Making It Work office takes the place of a former older office building. Originally built in the 70s, the building was well overdue an upgrade, to ensure it met current standards and infrastructure regulations. This included a big overhaul to update all of the lighting.
The brief was to create a working environment that was both inviting and stimulating for occupants. Well-being of the occupants was a top priority, so optimum lighting was key.
The lighting design of the Making It Work office not only complimented the interior design beautifully but also made best use of the natural light available. The lighting was tailored to specific parts of the office – workstations had low glare and shadow-free fixtures, whilst breakout areas had more subtle relaxing lighting.
To create the perfect lighting for the specific areas, our Micro Cylinder fixtures were selected. With its deep-set soft bezel and a softening lens as standard, the Micro Cylinder fixtures created the perfect ambiance for the office space – whilst also adding a decorative flare.
What’s more, is that the standard of the fit out of the building was so high, that it was actually let out to Making It Work before completion – they were that impressed with the level of design and planning to rework the building, they knew they had to move fast to secure it as theirs.
